Firefighters have been called to a large garage fire in Rangiora, north of Christchurch, on Monday afternoon. Fire Service spokesman Andrew Norris says three fire engines and a tanker are at the scene of the garage fire on Oxford Rd, opposite Oakwood Drive. Norris said the blaze had been brought under control. Flames could be seen from neighbouring properties and thick black smoke filled the sky in the areaNo-one was injured and the cause of the fire was yet to be established, Norris said.
