Auckland appliance repairer Matthew Fenton said a five week-long phone and internet outage had led him to consider shutting up shop. A neighbouring business which highlighted its own woes to The New Zealand Herald earlier this week had its phone service restored on Wednesday, Fenton said. It was up to Chorus to comment on the network fault and the length of time it was taking to fix, she said. Bonnar said Chorus acknowledged it must be "hugely frustrating for the customer, and difficult for Spark to deal with too".
