The convicts were identified as: Manik Mia, Ratan, Babla, Rana and Maleka Begum. Rangpur Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Jabid Hossain gave the order in the case which was filed 24 years ago. However, unable to bear the humiliation she later committed suicide. Subsequently, the girl’s mother had filed a case with the Rangpur Kotwali police station in this connection.
