An investigation is underway after a single-vehicle crash on the 710 Freeway killed five people. A crash early Monday on the 710 Freeway killed five people, including a 15-year-old, in north Long Beach, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP spokesperson Officer Angelia Gonzales said the deadly single-vehicle crash happened shortly after 4 a.m. on the 710 at the 91 Freeway connector. The crash remains under investigation, Gonzales said, asking that any witnesses reach out to investigators with the CHP South L.A. station. All northbound lanes of the 710 were closed because of the crash.
