One woman was taken to hospital and four others were treated for smoke inhalation after a house fire in the Old East Village Sunday evening. About 20 cats were also living in the home at Lyle and King streets and have been turned over to animal control. They were treated for smoke inhalation and released. One woman living in a second floor apartment of the home was taken to hospital and later released. The city is now dealing with the property, and the fire is under investigation, Loveland said.
