KARACHI: Karachi Police on Monday claimed to have arrested five terrorists, associated with the outlawed Islamic State (IS) group also known as Daesh, during a raid in the metropolis’ Gulshan-e-Maymar area. An FIR has been registered against the arrested terrorists as a further probe is being carried out, he added. Last week, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Karachi Police had arrested a wanted terrorist of outlawed Jundullah terror group. Arrested terrorist Mohammad Ishaq alias Gul was named in the red book, CTD chief Raja Umar Khattab had told the media in Karachi. He had come to Karachi for a major terrorist attack in the metropolis, the CTD in-charge officer claimed.
