Five persons have been killed in four road accidents yesterday while several others were injured, the Police Media Unit stated. Two persons were killed in a road accident in the Parasangaswewa area in Anuradhapura yesterday. Meanwhile, one person has been killed in a road accident near the Pinnaduwa Police Station on the Southern Expressway. A 57-year-old man, who was a resident of Mahiyanganaya, was killed when his motorcycle was collided with a bus. Another fatal road accident took place in the Gokarella area yesterday when a lorry and a motorcycle collided head-on.
