Jelebu: A family in Kampung Juntai Simpang Durian, here, are distraught as their five imported Rosetted Bengal cats died during a flood that hit the area last night. “By the time the water rose to waist level, we couldn’t save our belongings, including our cats. “We are heartbroken,” Khalil said, adding that the family could only save a few important documents, his vehicle and 10 imported cats. He said some of his belongings, including a car and a motorcycle, were damaged. “Although the flood water didn’t get into my house because it is located on higher ground, I lost my vegetable farm and 10 chickens in the flood,” he said.
