Wake Forest countered with Sciba’s 27-yard field goal for a 12-7 lead. Wake Forest redshirt sophomore linebacker Chase Monroe notched his first career interception by picking off Blackman in the second quarter. Wake Forest linebacker Justin Strnad, the team’s top tackler, didn’t return after leaving with a third-quarter knee injury.
