Separate road crashes leave five dead in SirajganjRoad accidents in the Siranjganj Sadar and Ullahparha Upazilas have led to five deaths.The accidents occurred on Monday morning, said police.The victims have been identified as Belal Hossain, his brother Abdus Sobhan, and Al-Amin, 35, all from the same village in Kamarkhand Upazila, and China Rani, 30, and her daughter Tuli Rani, 6, from Natore’s Lalon Shingha area, reports bdnews24.com.Belal, Sobhan, and Al-Amin were killed when a bus crushed their autorickshaw on the Shirajganj-Kadda road near Bonbarhiam, said Sirajganj Sadar Police Station SI Joydeb Kumar.Police have taken custody of the damaged autorickshaw, but have been unable to detain the bus or its driver.According to Ullaparha Police Station OC Dewan Kaushik Ahmed, the other accident involved college professor Shankar Kumar Pal, who was riding his motorcycle alongside his wife and daughter.“A bus crashed into the motorcycle from behind in the Neorgacha area. The mother, China Rani, and her daughter, Tuli Rani, were killed on the spot.”Shankar was critically injured in the accident and has been admitted to Shirajganj Sadar Hospital, OC Kaushik said.He is a lecturer at Shatbarhia Degree College in Shahjadpur, he added. His wife, China Rani, worked at a community clinic.
