Five policemen have been injured in an attack made by the workers of a garment factory in Dhaka’s Malibagh area. Ramna police station Officer-in-Charge Moshiur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune that a police team raided Dragon Garment factory on Saturday afternoon to arrest its owner, his son and the factory manager in a case filed in the Labour Court. “At that time, the garment workers obstructed the policemen from entering the factory and hurled brick chips at them leaving five of the law enforcers injured,” he said. The police team had to leave the factory in the face of the obstruction and attack, the OC said, adding that they would raid the factory again later in the day.
