BUTTERWORTH: A man in his 20s was killed in an accident involving four cars and a factory van on the North-South Expressway overpass near Jalan Permatang Pauh. The driver of the white Perodua Kelisa died on the spot in the accident, which occurred at 7.59am on Tuesday. The condition of other drivers and passengers are unknown but they are believed to have only sustained minor injuries. The accident caused a major traffic jam on the highway as most of the overpass’ three lanes were blocked by the damaged cars. Central Seberang Prai district police chief Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan confirmed the incident and said police are still investigating the case.
