It’s been eight years since the Green Bay Packers spent a first round draft choice on an offensive player. That didn't go well, as offensive tackle Derek Sherrod was a colossal bust and out of the league after just four years. Since 2006, the Packers have taken just two offensive players in the first round — Sherrod and offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga (2010). Green Bay ranked 14th in scoring last season (23.5) and 12th in total offense (369.1). “I just feel I'm the best,” Taylor said when asked how he shapes up with the other offensive tackles.
