(PTI)Bangalore: More than 200 fishermen stranded off the Kerala coast as Cyclone Ockhi continued its trail of destruction were rescued on Friday by search teams drawn from the armed forces during a massive operation involving helicopters and ships. Navy and air force helicopters flew repeated sorties to save the fishermen, who rappelled up ropes from their boats. Many others were rescued by ships of the Indian Coast Guard and the navy. A Japanese merchant vessel rescued 60 fishermen. "We still don't know how many more fishermen are stranded in the sea," said Mercykutty.
