First female commander of F-16 demo team demoted after two weeks on the job

The U.S. Air Force stripped its first-ever female commander of the F-16 Viper demonstration team of her position two weeks after she was appointed. Zoe Kotnik from her post as commander and pilot because he had “lost confidence in her ability to lead the team.”The colonel said Capt. Kotnik was named commander-pilot of the F-16 Viper demo team on Jan. 29, an announcement that the Air Force boasted about on the team’s Twitter account. The stunts are a way to bolster recruitment for the Air Force. She will continue in a “non-supervisory” role in the 20th Fighter Wing, reported the Air Force Times.
