Variety magazine described Personal Shopper as a “broken, but never boring mix of spine-tingling horror story, dreary workplace drama and The Times will give the film two stars, but other British newspapers have praised it with a maximum of five. Personal Shopper, directed by Olivier Assayas, has divided reviewers with its tale of a woman haunted by the spirit of her brother while working in Paris for a tyrannical businesswoman.
