Ranyaka Community Transformation in association with Stellenbosch Network and the Institute for Technology and Society are set to host the very first Stellenbosch Social Innovation Winter School from 3 to 7 July. The first Stellenbosch Winter School provides an exciting opportunity for students and community members who have ideas that could potentially alleviate or solve societal problems – or who would like to learn more about how social ventures have a critical role to play in tackling global and local challenges. Now more than ever, it is also imperative that our younger generation knows that there are viable career and business options in the social impact sector. Any profession can contribute towards addressing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and we aim to contribute to their learning in this process,” says Marli Goussard, social impact advisor for Ranyaka. “The Winter School is the expression and sharing of seven years of partnerships and learnings with communities, civic organisations and pioneering investors across the country.
