By AYUMBA AYODIMore by this AuthorThe last two days have seen the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani and Kenyatta University explode with a beehive of activities as Kenya prepares to host the World Under-18 Championships in athletics starting on Wednesday. Even as teams continued to arrive with some training at Kasarani, the championships’ patron First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and Nairobi County Governor Evans Kidero were at the venues to ensure that everything is in place. The First Lady, who was accompanied by Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario, arrived at the Kasarani shortly after 4pm. Mrs Kenyatta also got to tour the accreditation centre before leaving the venue ahead of Wednesday’s opening ceremony where she is likely to jog into the arena accompanied by renowned Kenyan athletes.
