"If the pet rock falls out and says goodbye to the rover, it will be far from home, surrounded by strange, unfamiliar rocks." As per Perseverance's left hazard avoidance camera, a rock appeared to have finds its way into left front wheel of the rover in early February. The Mars rover's current mission is to drill cores and examine sedimentary rocks near the delta. It remains to be seen how will the rock continue to tumble in the rover's wheel.
