Not all First Day Hikes need to be hikes, in fact. Enchanted Rock State Park is located 17 miles north of Fredericksburg, so it makes for an easy and leisurely day trip. Another nearby First Day Hike is available at McKinney Falls State Park with its 2.8-mile Onion Creek Hike and Bike Trail. This is a self-guided hike, but all participants who stop by the visitor center upon completion will receive a First Day Hike sticker.
