The Celtics made 14 three-pointers on Christmas Day, taking advantage of way too much shooting space afforded them by the Raptors in a 118-102 victory that spoiled the first NBA Christmas Day game in Toronto for the sellout Scotiabank Arena crowd. A game after giving up 18 made three-pointers Monday in Indianapolis, the Raptors were lit up by the Celtics in similar fashion. There was no flow to their offence, the defence was a step slow all afternoon and the Raptors committed 16 turnovers. Fred VanVleet led the Raptors with 27 points, while Chris Boucher, the lone backup to provide some consistent offensive energy, had a season-high 24. Christmas tidbits: Only two Raptors — Serge Ibaka (six times with Oklahoma City) and McCaw (twice with Golden State) — had ever played a Christmas Day game before Wednesday.
