GEORGE TOWN: After hours of battling a massive bush fire near the famous Kek Lok Si Temple here, firefighters managed to contain the blaze early today. State Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said a joint operation to conduct forensic investigations into the fire had since been launched. For now, it is learnt that the fire was caused by the burning of felled trees.
