Firefighters from Suffolk and Norfolk battled a large blaze at a building in a village for more than three hours last night. Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted just before 6pm to the incident at a single storey industrial building, in Hobbies Lane, Mendlesham. The building was fully ablaze and the fire was approximately 50 metres x 10 metres. A spokesperson said they used two 45 mm jets, two hose reel jets, an aerial ladder platform and a water bowser.
