Smoke from the house fire on McClure Street covered several blocks. (CHEK News )Victoria fire crews battled a noon-hour fire in a large character home Monday. Three trucks and 17 firefighters responded to the blaze that was called in at 11:50. Smoke from the building on McClure Street in the Fairfield neighbourhood blanketed neighbouring blocks. There were no reports of injuries.
