PHOTO: LINDA ROBERTSONSeveral Port Chalmers residents have expressed concern there is only one escape route in their Dunedin City Council flats, after an elderly neighbour was critically injured in a fire last week. Dunedin City Council community housing manager Kate Milton said council staff’s thoughts were with "the injured tenant" and the other residents. She said all of the council’s housing units met the relevant regulations for the time they were built. "Due to the size of these [Currie Court] units, a single entrance/exit is all that’s required.
