Firefighters work to douse a fire that broke out inside the warehouse of an RMG factory in Ashulia, Dhaka on Monday, March 4, 2019 Dhaka TribuneEight units of firefighters brought the fire under control just after 9pm on MondayA fire broke out at a local super market in Ashulia, on the outskirts of Dhaka, on Monday evening, which took nearly three hours to be brought under control. Witnesses and firefighters said the fire broke out at around 6:15pm in the warehouse of Anzir Apparels Ltd, a ready-made garment (RMG) factory located on the ground floor of Karim Super Market, a five-storey building in Ashulia’s Baipail area. Upon receiving information, two units of firefighters from Ashulia DEPZD fire station rushed to the spot and started to douse the fire. The firefighters are able to bring the blaze under control at around 9:10pm, Abdul Hamid, station officer at Ashulia DEPZD fire station, told the Dhaka Tribune. The Fire Service officials could not give any estimates of damages, or any information on possible casualties.
