ORMOC CITY, Leyte – A fire of still unknown origin razed a commercial establishment that housed a fruit stand, retailer of ready-to-wear clothes and dealer of cellular phones in Barangay D2, Borongan City, Eastern Samar province on Thursday afternoon. Ponciano Sabalza Jr., Borongan fire marshal, told the Inquirer in a phone interview that the fire broke out at 2:32 p.m. and was put under control an hour later. No one was reported hurt, Sabalza. ADVERTISEMENTHe said they had yet to determine the cause of fire.
