It almost looked like the repeat of what happened to the Mysuru Palace in 1897 when a fire gutted the whole palace. A fire broke out at the ATM kiosk inside the famous Mysuru Palace which damaged the guard room and the ticketing counter. The ATM kiosk has been completely gutted and several thousand of rupees in terms of currency has been burnt down. The palace has faced a fire before in 1897 which completely destroyed the place. The present heritage structure has been rebuilt but it also raises questions on how safe is the palace when it comes to disasters such as fire.
