Emergency crews are at a large house fire in Castor Bay, on Auckland's North Shore, tonight. Vaimoana Tapaleao is the New Zealand Herald's Pacific Affairs and People reporter. The house was derelict, he said, and no injuries had been reported. Phillips said the house was "well involved" and firefighters were working on protecting a neighbouring property, after reports the fire was endangering it. Northern fire communications spokesman Jaron Phillips said they had four trucks at the scene.
