(File pic)Fire crews from Timaru and Temuka spent two hours battling a suspicious blaze in Washdyke on Tuesday morning. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said three trucks from Timaru and a tanker from Temuka arrived at an Aorangi Rd business about 12.45am where a pile of timber and driftwood measuring 40 square metres was ablaze. They left the scene at 2.45am, he said. “It has been declared suspicious and police have been alerted.”He said a crew was scheduled to be back at the scene later on Tuesday morning to investigate.
