Fire closes railway line in Meadowbank, AucklandSIMON MAUDE/ FAIRFAX NZ Five fire crews responded to the blaze. The eastern railway corridor in Meadowbank, Auckland was temporarily closed as fire crews battled a blaze early on Tuesday. Fire crews were called to Gowing Dr and John Rymer Pl in Meadowbank about 3am. The fire had spread about 200m along the railway line, a fire communications spokesman said. Five fire crews responded to the fire and one crew remained on the scene.
