Fire burns down two Ayutthaya houses owned by retired police lieutenant colonel


Pol Captain Pichet Kaewsuwan, deputy inspector of the Uthai police station, said the fire swept through two houses in Ban Rong Nok community in Tambon Uthai of Uthai district. Five fire engines took about an hour to put out the blaze. The houses belonged to Pol Lieutenant Colonel Paitoon Noipathum, 61, a retired deputy inspector of the Uthai police station. Paithoon said he was woken by the sound of a short circuit behind a refrigerator before the fire broke out. He shouted a warning and other family members rushed out of the house.
