Eleven fire-fighting units are working to put out the flamesA fire has broken out at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, situated in Dhaka’s Sher-E-Bangla Nagar. The flames broke out around 5:50pm on Thursday, said Duty Officer Md Rasel at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters. He said 11 fire-fighting units were working to put out the flames, which according to them might have originated from a store room of the hospital building. The fire has created panic among the patients and their relatives and the staff of hospital. More to follow...
