Fire tenders struggled to put out a three-hour blaze that broke out in the ground floor of a commercial building at Fairley Place early Tuesday morning, and soon spread to the second floor of the iconic Duncan’s House. Around 15 fire tenders, as well as members of the Kolkata Police disaster management team and CESC, worked to put out the fire which had triggered panic in the area. While there were no injuries or casualties, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are yet to be ascertained.
