A fire had broken out at Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL) building in Dhaka’s Motijheel area. The fire originated from an electric short circuit on the 20th floor of the 24-storey building around 6:20am on Monday, Fire Service control room duty officer Mizanur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune. He said: “Seven firefighting units went to the spot and doused the blaze around 6:50am. A loss worth Tk10 lakh occurred in the fire.”
