Hundreds of residents of Mukuru slums in Nairobi were left homeless on Saturday after fire razed down their houses. Five people are feared dead following that incident that also caused the destruction of property worth millions of shillings. Aerial view of the fire at Mukuru slumsFirefighters from Nairobi County Government had a difficult time putting out the fire because of the narrow paths which made the area inaccessible. This incident comes barely a fortnight after 46 houses were reduced to ashes in the same slum. In 2018, two children were burnt to death at Mukuru slums when fire razed down their house.
