Fiona Onasanya: an ambitious Corbyn supporter who was picked out in the pub

Fiona Onasanya entered politics after being approached in the pub while talking about the 2011 London riots. She soon harboured ambitions to become Britain’s first black, female prime minister. The siblings’ Nigerian-born father, Frank Onasanya, left the family when his daughter was three. He is now a district councillor in Ontario, Canada, and runs a football training academy, but he maintains a close relationship with his children. Ms Onasanya, 35, studied law at the University of Hertfordshire before qualifying as a commercial property solicitor in November 2015 and working at several law firms in Cambridgeshire.
