GAFFE-prone Fine Gael Senator Catherine Noone has failed in her bid to be re-elected to the Seanad. Ms Noone has lost her seat after a career marked by a series of political blunders. She was at the centre of controversy during that campaign after she described Taoiseach Leo Varadkar as “autistic” and “on the spectrum”. In 2018 she was involved in a row with another Fine Gael senator involving claims of bullying and sexism. I am truly sorry," she added.
