Just when people are needing and valuing ways of getting in touch with each other comes the bad news that you are shutting down Guardian Soulmates (Letters, 26 June). Not so, I am sure, in the view of the majority of users, who can reckon on finding at least potential soulmates among their fellow Guardian readers. And certainly not so in the view of my husband and me, both aged 82, who – thanks to the Guardian – recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary.
