Finding art treasures in public exhibition

The Nelson Suter Art Society (NSAS) has announced it will be holding an inaugural exhibition of currently owned art for sale and is inviting the public to make submissions. “When something sells, it’s done so for a reason – because it appeals – so where one person thinks it’s kitsch, another might think ‘Kitchen’.”At 131-years-old, the Nelson Suter Art Society is New Zealand's third oldest art society, run entirely by volunteers. The society’s 200 members hold exhibitions throughout the year which enables them to display their work in the McKee Gallery – a space leased from the Suter Art Gallery. Supplied Organisers of the Preloved Reloved public art exhibition are excited about the potential works that are likely to be submitted in the coming weeks - from portraits to sculptures and ceramics. All preloved art is welcome, be it 2D or 3D art, photographs, ceramics, sculpture, fibre art, or ethnic art.
