Of the 12 teams reaching the NFL's 2018 post-season, 33% of the head coaches (4 of 12) are either in their first or second year as an NFL head coach. And what have these coaches done thus far in their NFL head coaching careers? In short, the relatively immediate coaching success of the coaches mentioned above creates angst and impatience among other NFL ownership groups. Yes, there's no doubt that some of the early success of these new head coaches named above is personnel-driven. And in the process, making life miserable for similarly inexperienced head coaches whose ownership is left to wonder "why can't our guy turn things around"?
