Twenty-four years ago this weekend, CBC Edmonton reporter Mark Connolly was invited to attend a special Canada Day party. You can also hang out with Mark and others of the CBC team at the Alberta Legislative grounds on Canada Day. People at that 1992 party were enjoying a new piece of technology — a karaoke machine. It was an American machine that didn't play Canadian songs.But Connolly managed to find the right note for his report.
