"Under the project, each court will be transformed into an e-court room," he said while announcing the national budget for 2020-21 fiscal year in the parliament on Thursday. The new proposed budget has allocated Tk1,739 crore for Law and Justice Division and for the Supreme Court the amount is Tk222 crore. In the last fiscal year, Tk1,650 crore was allocated for the division and for the apex court the amount was Tk195 crore. The minister also said the land registration process will be digitized to make it easy and more transparent. This will enable citizens to avail electronic land registration services, the minister added.
