The LA Times is reporting that the scare headlines of hospitals overrun with COVID patients seems exaggerated, by a lot. They report:Roughly two-thirds of patients who have tested positive at hospitals run by the L.A. County Department of Health Services were admitted for something other than the coronavirus, according to Health Services Director Dr. Christina Ghaly. That is starkly different from what the county’s public hospitals saw in earlier surges, when most coronavirus-positive patients were hospitalized because they had been sickened by the virus, Ghaly said. There is some additional reporting by Robby Soave in Reason Magazine about teens and COVID that are a breath of truth. The study found that most young people who suffer severe COVID-19 outcomes had underlying health conditions.
