Not only is it a tax increase — it’s even a progressive tax increase! It’s because Republicans won’t agree to a penny in tax increases of any kind — income taxes, payroll taxes, the gasoline tax, anything. But at least for now we can say, for the first time in a long time, that something finally isn’t the matter with Kansas.
