It’s the drama Mobile Homes, a Canada/France co-production by writer/director Vladimir de Fontenay, announced Thursday as one of the 19 features for parallel section the Director’s Fortnight. Filmed near Niagara Falls, Ont., Mobile Homes stars Imogen Poots (TV’s Roadies), Callum Turner and Callum Keith Rennie. Poots plays a young mother who moves from one motel to the next with her young son in the company of a dangerous boyfriend. A crisis forces them into a mobile home community, which could mean either a new start in life or further trouble. It closes May 28 with Geremy Jasper’s Sundance sensation Patti Cake$, starring Danielle Macdonald as the unlikeliest of New Jersey rappers.
