Film-maker/director wins three awards at festival

PHOTO: SUPPLIEDThe New Zealand Mountain Film Festival in Wanaka, Cromwell and Queenstown was watched by 4500 people and the online version has already been enjoyed by another 2500 in Australia. Audience numbers were a big improvement on the Covid-affected festival in 2020, delighting directors Mark and Jo Sedon. Local Wanaka wildlife filmmaker and director Richard Sidey made festival history by winning three awards in the 2021 festival. The silent auction raised $2475 for the NZ Mountain Film Festival Charitable Trusts grant scheme, which supports youth film-maker, environmental projects and people with disabilities.
