MANILA, Philippines — A similar number of adult Filipinos share different views on claims of police that killed drug suspects resisted arrested, according to the latest Social Weather Stations survey. The poll released Tuesday evening found that 26 percent of adult Filipinos do not believe police claims of "nanlaban" drug suspects while 27 percent of the respondents said the police are telling the truth. "It was at -20 when SWS first asked the question in December 2016," SWS said. Meanwhile, 96 percent of Filipinos said it is important for the police to capture drug suspects alive while 4 percent said it is not important. < >The poll also showed that 86 percent of Filipinos believe it is important for the police to capture drug suspects alive while 14 percent said otherwise.
