Filipino teen weightlifters haul medals in Youth World ChampionshipsMANILA, Philippines – The Philippines ramped up its medal haul in the IWF Youth World Championships in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia following victories by teens Rose Jean Ramos and Jeaneth Hipolito. Ramos, 16, bagged three mints — two golds and a silver — in Day Two of the competition in the women's 45kg division. She took the top spot in the snatch and total while taking silver in the clean and jerk. Ramos lifted 67kg and 147kg in the snatch and total, respectively. She won the country's first medal in the youth tiff when she took the bronze in snatch for the women's 40kg category.
