Darwin Neil Morano remembers growing up around shipyards in Cebu City, watching how vessels were built based on designs made by naval architects like his father. The idea of shipbuilding rooted deep in the boy’s mind until it became the subject of his passion and long-driven desire. The 16-meter combat boat was featured at the Abu Dhabi Defense Exhibition in 2017. Two years later, Morano was awarded as Engineer of the Year at the Filipino Times Awards. While he has already designed and launched a yacht, the Nomad 65, years prior, Morano considers the combat boat to be his greatest and most important achievement.
